5 Best Game Releases So Far in 2025

    Published on:

2025 has a lot in store for gamers, so we’re breaking down what you need to take a look at so far. There’s much more coming this year so make sure to follow our page and keep an eye out!

    5. Blue Prince

Blue Prince puts players in the shoes of an heir to an ever-shifting magical mansion. Uncover new rooms and mysteries with every decision in this unique puzzle/roguelike adventure. The eerie atmosphere, clever design, and surprisingly deep puzzle system make this a surprise indie favorite.

    4. Split Fiction

The creators of It Takes Two give us another creative co-op game to play with our gaming (or non-gaming) loved ones! Split Fiction follows the journey of two writers trapped in their own chaotic stories. With some of the most clever gameplay twists like having to unlock your phone while on a highspeed multi-dimensional chase, Split Fiction has the signature wit and emotional punch Hazelight is known for.

    3. Monster Hunter Wilds

The much anticipated Monster Hunter Wilds from Capcom did not disappoint. It evolves the iconic series with vast, dynamic ecosystems and even bigger, more reactive monsters. It brings all the love that went into Monster Hunter World and then some into the modern age. We all expected this to do well despite the technical issues in the first few weeks, and we’re not surprised to see a healthy community grow under its wing.

    2. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

We joke about Skyrim getting another life (again) quite a lot, but nobody was upset at the return of this classic. Oblivion Remastered breathes new life into the classic 2006 RPG in the best way possible. The developers wanted people to experience the love that went into this game, warts and all, with stunning next-generation visuals. If you haven’t explored Cyrodiil in all its silly and sometimes buggy glory, now’s your chance to see what all the old fans fell in love with.

    1. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

This game blows the usual turn based RPGs out of the water. Clair Obscur combines emotional storytelling with stylish turn-based combat with a hint of real time combat. I’ve always complained that turn-based puts me to sleep, but this game’s unique mix of real time effects keep you engaged in the action, making turn-based combat feel more engaging than ever. The emotional rollercoaster of philosophy, despair, and hope gives players an RPG experience that’s as thoughtful as it is a joy to play.
