Itel Power 70 – Budget Phone with a Big Battery

    Published on:

The Itel Power 70 might not be flashy, but it definitely brings something unique to the table — a smart battery setup that’s built for heavy use without breaking the bank.

Let’s start with the phone’s biggest flex: battery life. On its own, the Power 70 already comes with a 6,000 mAh battery — that’s more than enough for a full day or two of regular use. But Itel is taking it a step further by bundling a 4,000 mAh charging case with the phone during its launch period. Plug that in via USB-C and you’ve got a total of 10,000 mAh of usable battery. No wireless charging here, but it does support 18W wired charging, which helps keep things practical.

Despite the massive battery setup, the Itel Power 70 remains fairly manageable in size. It measures 165.92 x 77.31 x 7.98 mm and weighs around 200 grams — not bad considering the capacity it’s packing. This isn’t a phone that’ll feel like a brick in your pocket.

Display-wise, you’re looking at a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness rated at 700 nits. Itel markets it as a “Sunlight Display,” claiming it holds up under direct sunlight. The brand also mentions wet and oily touch support — something useful for daily outdoor use, especially in humid environments.

Under the hood, the Power 70 runs on a MediaTek Helio G50 Ultimate chipset. Performance will be modest, but paired with up to 8GB of RAM, it should be good enough for day-to-day tasks and light apps. Storage options range from 128GB to 256GB, and although it uses slower eMMC 5.1 storage, you do at least get microSD expandability.

For cameras, it’s keeping things simple: a single 13MP rear shooter and an 8MP selfie cam. Video is capped at 1080p — no surprises there. Other specs include dual nano-SIM slots, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a single loudspeaker, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There’s no NFC onboard, which might be a downside for users who rely on tap-to-pay.

The Itel Power 70 is priced at just around PHP 5,000, with the charging case included — at least for now. That makes it one of the more interesting budget options this year, especially for users who care more about battery life and practicality than bells and whistles.

Available in black, silver, marine, and gold, the Power 70 isn’t here to dazzle — it’s here to last. If you’re interested, you can check it out at the nearest Cyberzone.
