Managing both life and work requires a precise balance. That’s why having the right setup and work device is important. We recently got to try the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro for a week and, boy, did it make a difference. Here’s our in-depth review and thoughts about the tablet.
Design: Premium and Sleek
The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is a beauty to look at and hold. It’s a lot thinner compared to the Pad 6 Pro, and it’s significantly lighter. It was a joy to use in both tablet and desktop modes, and it was easy to switch between the two. If you pair it with the Xiaomi Focus Keyboard, it becomes the ultimate lightweight portable work device.

As someone who travels quite often, it’s always a huge plus for me if I can cut down on the weight of what I have to bring. The fact that the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is both powerful and lightweight means I don’t have to bring my laptop around when I travel. At 500 grams, the Pad 7 Pro is light and extremely easy to carry around.
In terms of screen and display, the Pad 7 Pro boasts a large 11.2-inch 3.2K 144Hz crystal-clear display with over 800 nits of brightness. Paired with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, the display is vivid and lag-free. Watching and editing videos on the tablet works surprisingly well. With 8GB of RAM and a Qualcomm Adreno GPU, it’s responsive and incredibly capable of content creation.
Speakers and Sounds, Camera and Pictures
Remember when I said the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro was perfect for content creation? It’s thanks in part to the amazing pair of speakers on the tablet. And by pair, I meant pairs. The Pad 7 Pro’s thin aluminium body houses a quad speaker setup with Hi-res wireless audio. It’s also capable of a 200% volume boost with Dolby Atmos, so sounds come out crisp, loud, and clear.

Usually, when you crank the volume to higher levels, the sound tends to come out tinny. That was not the case with the Pad 7 Pro. The sound comes out loud and undistorted. So if you’re the type of person who likes to watch videos with no headphones, the tablet is perfect for you.
As for cameras, the Pad 7 Pro has a 50MP rear camera and a 32MP front-facing camera. Video calls and pictures came out exceptionally clear and were honestly quite a joy to use.
Multi-tasking Master
As someone who works on multiple projects at once, it’s always a pain when the device I’m using can’t keep up. That was not the case with the Pad 7 Pro. Its clean UI was both neat and intuitive to use. The tablet runs on HyperOS 2 for Android 15, and it’s a joy to multitask with.

You can easily turn apps into window pop-ups and resize them to accommodate multiple windows at a time. In Workstation mode, I was able to run up to 4 apps at one time for those moments when I needed to refer to multiple apps. Sure, that’s nothing new if you work on a PC, but I’m someone who has to be on the go a lot, so a portable device with powerful multitasking capability is always a plus to me.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is an AI-powered workhorse. With Xiaomi HyperAI, working was a breeze. Sometimes I find myself needing something reworded, translated, or edited. The Pad 7 Pro was capable of all of these. Focusing my flow has never been as easy.
Overall, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro was perfect for on-the-go multitasking, especially when I had to move from home to the studio while working.
Final Thoughts
For the price, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro may just be the best work tablet on the market right now. At only 33,999.00 PHP, it’s affordable and worth every cent. I can highly recommend it for any professional and content creator who constantly needs to be on the go or just wants a lightweight work tablet.

While the AI has a lot of room for improvement, it’s not an issue as we see more system updates. Overall, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is sleek, powerful, and one tablet you’d definitely want to check out.
