Xiaomi Brings the 15T Series to the Philippines: Flagship Power with Leica Imaging and A Fresh Design

    Published on:

Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 15T Series in the Philippines, headlined by the 15T and 15T Pro. The brand held its local event at the Maybank Theatre in BGC, putting the spotlight on how the T Series has evolved into something sleeker, more powerful, and focused on pro-level imaging.

    Cameras Built with Leica

At the core of the 15T Series is its Leica co-engineered triple camera system, which separates the base model and Pro in interesting ways.

    • Xiaomi 15T: main, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses (15mm to 92mm).
    • Xiaomi 15T Pro: main, ultra-wide, and a new Leica 5x Pro telephoto (15mm to 230mm).

Both models use a 50MP Leica Summilux main lens, with the Pro getting an edge thanks to its Light Fusion 900 sensor and wider ƒ/1.62 aperture for sharper, more dynamic shots. The Pro also debuts 5x optical zoom and supports up to 20x Ultra Zoom, a first for the T Series.

On the software side, Xiaomi AISP 2.0 enhances portraits, color balance, and depth detail, while Master Portrait introduces new bokeh styles and adjustable focal effects. Videographers also get plenty of options, with 4K HDR10+ recording across all lenses, and the Pro stepping it up with 4K 120fps slow motion and 8K video recording.

Smarter Connectivity with Xiaomi Astral Communication

Beyond cameras, the 15T Series introduces Xiaomi Astral Communication, which includes:

    • Offline Communication: direct voice chat between two devices without Wi-Fi or cellular. The Pro supports up to 1.9km distance, while the 15T reaches 1.3km.
    • Super Antenna Array & Surge T1S Tuner: automatically switching between GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular to maintain a stable connection even in tricky environments.

It’s a feature aimed at outdoor adventurers, but also a glimpse at how phones are evolving beyond standard network use.

    Display and Design

Both models sport 6.83-inch AMOLED displays with high brightness (up to 3200 nits), but the Pro stands out with ultra-slim bezels made possible by LIPO tech and a 144Hz refresh rate. The standard 15T runs at 120Hz with 3840Hz PWM dimming, which helps reduce eye strain in low light.

For durability, both are IP68 water and dust resistant, built with Gorilla Glass 7i and a glass fiber back. The Pro uses 6M13 aluminum alloy for extra strength, while colors lean premium with Mocha Gold on the Pro and Rose Gold on the base 15T.

    Power and Performance

Under the hood, the 15T Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ (3nm), while the 15T uses the Dimensity 8400-Ultra (4nm). Both pair with up to 12GB RAM + 512GB storage, and are supported by Xiaomi’s 3D IceLoop cooling system.

Battery capacity sits at 5500mAh across both, with the Pro supporting 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, while the 15T gets 67W wired charging.

The Xiaomi Pad Mini Joins the Lineup

Alongside the phones, Xiaomi also launched the Xiaomi Pad Mini, an 8.8-inch tablet with a 3K display and 165Hz refresh rate. It integrates Xiaomi HyperAI tools like AI Writing, AI Interpreter, and Circle to Search with Google, making it a compact productivity and creativity companion.

Early Bird Promo: ₱22,999 (SRP ₱25,999) for the 8GB+256GB variant, available until October 13, bundled with a free Xiaomi Pad Mini cover.
