The battlefield was stacked, the decks were tuned, and the prize? A true Commander staple: a Savannah Dual Land, as well as the exclusive holo foil Chocobo & Ifrit vs Bahamut playmat. This past weekend at Unbox Greenhills, over 20 players gathered for the latest edition of the King of Commander tournament, co-hosted by VRSUS and Unbox. What followed was a showcase of meta diversity, strategic negotiations, and one dinosaur god making a serious case for apex predator of the format.

After an intense gauntlet of pod battles, Kenri Ang emerged victorious as the August 2025 King of Commander! He skillfully piloted Etali, Primal Conqueror to the top of an equally competitive final table featuring Vivi, Rocco, and Tifa.
The prize? A Savannah Dual Land, tournament glory, and a royal crown (figurative… and a little bit literal, judging from the photos).
