Having been with the franchise since 1994, Kono spoke about how ACE COMBAT evolved through changing times and expectations, acknowledging both the highs and occasional turbulence. His core belief? The series has stayed aloft thanks to the bond between creators and players, and that this anniversary is their way of giving back to the community.
“Over the past thirty years, times have changed. Values have shifted and technologies have evolved… And now, we’re ready. Everything is in place. It’s time to take flight once again—toward even greater heights,” Kono wrote.
