The first-ever Spice Summit just wrapped, and we’re still recovering from all the chaos, laughter, and yes – the actual spice. When we promised you something “completely wild” back in our announcement, we weren’t kidding around. September 19th at Unbox Greenhills turned into one of those gaming moments that’ll have people talking, and if you missed it, well – you missed something.
Game Start: Two Teams, One Mountain, Infinite Chaos
The setup was beautifully simple yet diabolically effective. Two squads faced off in PEAK, each with 30 minutes to climb as high as humanly possible while secretly harboring an impostor in their ranks.

Team KKB brought the energy with BeeBuyog, Kriphie, and Kristian PH – three creators who know how to turn pressure (and arguing over left vs right clicks) into content gold.

Team Performative countered with Aubrey ‘Obrii’, KingFB, and JollySly ‘Lazy Sly’ – a squad that proved the name was anything but accurate when it came to their climbing game.
Powered for Peak Performance

Before we dive into the mountain-climbing madness, massive props to Lenovo Philippines for making this entire experience possible. The Legion Pro 7i gaming laptops handled every physics-defying tumble and death-defying leap without breaking a sweat. Paired with the Lenovo H200 headset for crystal-clear team communication (and panic screaming), plus the Lenovo M600 gaming mouse for those precision grabs – the tech setup was flawless.

And let’s be real, none of this would’ve happened without TOMORO COFFEE keeping everyone caffeinated and hyped because nothing says “ready to tackle an impossible mountain” like premium coffee flowing through your veins.
The Climb: When Physics Meets Pinoy Gaming
Watching these creators tackle PEAK was like witnessing controlled chaos at its finest. Every grab, every slip, every “TEKA TEKA TEKA” screamed across the proximity chat – it all translated into pure entertainment gold.

The mountain didn’t hold back. Neither did our climbers.

For 30 minutes straight, both teams pushed, pulled, and occasionally tumbled (or died) their way up that brutal terrain. The physics engine that made PEAK famous for breaking friendships? It was working overtime, and our creators were feeling every unforgiving meter of it.
Final Score: The Numbers That Mattered
When the dust settled (and our climbers stopped accusing each other as the impostor), the results were:
- Team Performative: 498 meters
- Team KKB: 449 meters
Plot Twist: The Impostor Investigation
Here’s where our carefully crafted chaos reached its peak (pun absolutely intended). Remember that whole impostor mechanic we built into the event? Well, both teams completely FAILED on identifying their saboteurs. Kristian PH and Obriii completely deceived their teammates into suspecting each other, thanks to their Oscar-worthy levels of acting!

That meant one thing: Spicy Challenge time.
Consequence Phase: The Heat is Real

When we said there would be consequences for failure, we weren’t messing around. The Spicy Challenge lived up to every syllable of its fiery name, and watching these creators face the heat was almost as entertaining as watching them climb.

And yes, even our very own Migo joined them in the suffering – because if you’re going to create chaos, you better be ready to face it yourself. Let’s just say the spice was definitely spicing, and leave it at that.
What We Actually Accomplished Here
Spice Summit proved something important: gaming events don’t have to follow the same tired tournament formula that’s been recycled for years.

This wasn’t about perfect plays or flawless execution. It was about authentic moments, genuine reactions, and the kind of community experience that makes Filipino gaming culture special. The combination of high-stakes gameplay, interactive challenges, and real consequences created something that felt both competitive and communal.
The VIRL Vision in Action

This is exactly what hybrid events from VIRL by VRSUS are designed to achieve. We’re not trying to recreate traditional esports – we’re building something entirely new. Something that brings creators and audiences together in ways that feel fresh, engaging, and uniquely Filipino.
Looking Forward: The Summit Never Ends
If this first Spice Summit proved anything, it’s that there’s real hunger for gaming events that break the mold. The energy from both the live audience at Unbox Greenhills and our livestream community was incredible, and it’s clear that this format has serious potential.

The mountain might have won this round, but we’re already plotting our return. Because in the world of PEAK – and in the world of VRSUS – there’s always another summit waiting to be conquered.
Spice Summit delivered on every promise and then some. It was competitive, it was communal, and it was definitely spicy.
