Honor of Kings Adds Tagalog Language Support in Latest Update

    Published on:

Honor of Kings, the world’s most-played MOBA, just got a lot closer to home for Filipino players. As part of its new Thrilling update, the game now supports full Tagalog localization — both in-game text and audio — making it one of the biggest quality-of-life updates yet for the local community.

    Why Tagalog Matters

The Philippines has one of the most active Honor of Kings player bases in the world, and the addition of Tagalog isn’t just about convenience. As Isabelle Eloriaga, Product Manager for HoK Philippines, puts it: “For us, Tagalog isn’t just a language — it’s comfort. Localizing the game makes every Filipino player feel right at home in HOK. We’re also open to exploring other Philippine languages and dialects in the future.”

It’s a big step that shows just how much the game values its Filipino audience, letting more players experience battles, characters, and storylines in a language that feels more natural.

    How to Switch to Tagalog

    Changing your settings is simple:

    1. Tap Settings on the top-right corner of your screen.
    2. Scroll down and select Language.
    3. Pick Tagalog for both Language and Voice.

Do note that downloading the language and voice packs will require extra data.

    What’s in the Thrilling Update

Aside from Tagalog support, the Honor of Kings Thrilling update brings new content:

    • Umbrosa, the Fallen Austren – a new heroine making her debut.
    • Spriteling Companion – a unique in-game buddy to join you in battles.
    • Ultimate Awakening Mode – a new way to play that shakes up strategies.

And for local fans, content creators like Leomiho and AkoSiDogie have hinted at special projects tied to the update — more reason to keep an eye on the official Honor of Kings pages.

With the Tagalog update, Honor of Kings feels more rooted in the Philippines than ever, turning every match into an experience that speaks our language — literally.
