Captain America: Brave New World hit cinemas in the Philippines last week. To celebrate the release, a group of talented muralists came together and created a true marvel of a mural. Spanning the entire basketball court, the mural was painted directly onto the floor. Talk about a hulking task.
The mural featuring Sam Wilson as Captain America and the Red Hulk can be found in Tenement Court, Taguig and it’s a sight to behold. The talented artists behind the mural are known as the TVA. No, not the Time Variance Authority but the Tenement Visual Artists. For these talented individuals, the mural is more than just a painting. It’s a statement and a testament to their skills and passions.
Here’s what one member had to say about the mural:
“sang karangalan po magkaroon ng opportunity ang Tenement Visual Artists na gumawa ng isang mural para kay Captain America na talagang iniidolo ng nakararami.” As stated by Adrian Piñon, TVA Member. (Translation: It’s truly an honor for Tenement Visual Artists to have the opportunity to create a mural for Captain America, a hero admired by many.)
Fans aren’t the only ones flocking to Tenement Court to see the new mural either. Since the unveiling, there have been countless Marvel enthusiasts and cosplayers going to the site for pictures and photoshoots. It’s something no Marvel fan would want to miss.
