The PUBG Mobile Philippines community has once again shown how gaming can go beyond the screen. In response to the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck Cebu last September 30, players, streamers, and fans came together to raise and deliver in-kind donations to affected communities.

Under the banner of #NinongPUBGMCares – Stream For a Cause, twelve popular streamers joined forces across a three-day charity event, turning their platforms into channels of support for quake victims in Cebu.
A Community Effort That Made a Real Difference
Thanks to the efforts of the streamers and their fanbases, substantial donations were delivered to San Remigio and Cebu City, providing relief to families affected by the disaster.
Here’s what the community was able to send to the affected areas:
Goods | Total Amount |
---|---|
Canned sardines | 1,000 pcs |
Canned meatloaf | 1,000 pcs |
Instant noodles | 1,000 packs |
Water bottles (5 liters each) | 500 bottles |
Rice (25kg sacks) | 40 pcs |
These contributions were made possible through the generosity of fans, creators, and the wider PUBG Mobile community who tuned in, donated, and spread the word throughout the campaign.
Gratitude from the PUBG Mobile Team
In a statement, the PUBG Mobile Philippines team shared their heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the charity drive:
“We’re very grateful to the PUBGM community for making the stream for a cause a success. Thank you to all our inaanaks who donated their time and resources. Your support for the game and your favorite content creators helped ensure that our kababayans in Cebu receive the aid they need.”
Gaming With a Heart
What started as a simple call to action became a reminder of how powerful the local gaming scene can be when united for a cause. The success of #NinongPUBGMCares shows that the PUBG Mobile community isn’t just built around competition — it’s built on compassion, too.
