Gaming history meets sneaker culture as Reebok and Sony Interactive Entertainment have teamed up to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the original PlayStation console with an exclusive three-shoe collection dropping this October. If you grew up with a controller in your hands and memories of that iconic gray console, this Reebok x Playstation collaboration is about to hit you right in the nostalgia.
Three Shoes, Three Regions, One Legacy

The collection features three of Reebok’s iconic silhouettes—the InstaPump Fury 94, Pump Omni Zone II, and Workout Plus—each designed to look like the first PlayStation console with a grey-based colorway and vintage-styled packaging. But here’s the twist: each sneaker will release exclusively in its own specific region across the globe as a nod to PlayStation’s original launch regions back in 1995.
InstaPump Fury 94 – Japan (¥37,000)
The Look: The InstaPump Fury is Reebok’s futuristic, high-tech sneaker featuring an inflatable bladder system (the “pump”) and a distinctive sculptural, almost alien-like design with no traditional laces. It has a sleek, streamlined silhouette with bold overlays and a unique cage-like structure wrapping around the foot.

The InstaPump Fury releases in Japan and features a “Press Play” pump ball, a tongue label designed like a PlayStation memory card, and hidden text featuring the original launch date “1994年12月3日” (12/3/1994). This silhouette was chosen for its 1994 release date, perfectly aligning with PlayStation’s debut year in Japan.
Pump Omni Zone II – United States ($220)
The Look: The Pump Omni Zone II is a classic ’90s basketball sneaker with a bold, chunky high-top silhouette. It features the iconic Reebok Pump technology on the tongue, visible air cushioning, and a retro athletic aesthetic that screams vintage basketball culture.

The U.S. exclusive Pump Omni Zone II features anniversary gray sock liners, two lace options with metal tips, a custom pump ball styled in PlayStation’s signature colors, and hidden text featuring the original launch date “9/9/1995”. Plastic lace dubraes mimicking console buttons complete the nostalgic look.
Workout Plus – United Kingdom (£150)
The Look: The Workout Plus is Reebok’s classic clean, minimal lifestyle sneaker—a low-top leather trainer with simple lines and understated branding. It has that timeless, versatile aesthetic perfect for everyday wear, with a slim profile and straightforward design that’s been a staple since the ’80s.

The U.K. exclusive Workout Plus includes anniversary gray sock liners, two lace options with metal tips, a removable lacelock cable attachment, and hidden text featuring the original launch date “9/29/1995”. Plastic lace dubraes are styled after PlayStation’s classic circle, triangle, and square buttons alongside Reebok’s vector logo.
Every Detail Tells a Story
All pairs come in unique, limited-edition packaging that mirrors the console’s original launch design, featuring a shared anniversary gray color palette and key nostalgic details. From the aged yellowing on the midsoles to the memory card graphics and console button designs, every element has been thoughtfully crafted to transport you back to the mid-’90s golden age of gaming.

“This collection is a time machine,” said Mubi Ali, Global Senior Product Marketing Manager at Reebok. “It’s for the after-school music TV kids: grunge in their headphones, wheels at their feet, and a dial-up world that felt wide open. We’ve brought those memories to life in every stitch, lace, and pump.”

Why This Reebok x PlayStation Matters for Gamers and Sneakerheads
PlayStation sneaker collaborations have become highly coveted collector’s items, with previous Nike releases reaching grail status among fans. This Reebok x PlayStation collab is peak nostalgia, but honestly, choosing between a sneaker shaped like a console in Japan, the US, or the UK? Sounds less like a collection and more like a geography quiz I *definitely* wont ace. Oh, you want the one from… where they speak Japanese? The limited quantities are just Reeboks way of saying, We made these because we remembered, not because were confident youll actually find them. And the UK getting the Workout Plus? Bless their hearts, probably thought no one would notice the 1995 launch date missed the US by a whole month. Still, gotta love the effort to make us feel like kids again, even if our feet are considerably less spry.angel prophecy deltarune
